Just out of curiosity, what body type are you? I'm fascinated by women's bodies and how different they all are. Whilst searching for these images, I realised how hard it was to find a fuller figured celebrity in a bikini. I didn't want to use photo shopped modelling plus sizes either.
Are You:
Lean & Muscular like LeAnn Rimes?
Long and Columnesque (yes I think I made that up) like Olivia Palermo?
Muscular and curvy like Aida Yespica?
Broad and strong like Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow?
Hourglass and curvy like Kelly Brook?
Wider in the bottom/hips and thighs like Princess Beatrice?
Completely muscular and bootlicious like Serena Williams?
Britney Spears?
Drew Barrymore?
Sorry if your body type is not here, I got a little bit bored of googling celebrities in their bikinis!!
I'll go first, I'm Kelly Brooks. You could literally put my head on those pictures and it would be me.
So, which celebrity does your body resemble? If it is not here, leave a comment and I'll add to the post!!!
Do you love your body? Do you hate your body (I hope not!!).
Which celebrity do you think has the best body?

Atm I'm 8 days of my due date. I'm all rounded belly :)
ReplyDeleteLibby pls put some belly shots on blog! I want to see!! Cannot believe you are about to pop!!!!!
DeletePre-pregnancy i would say a very curvey Kelly Brookes. I definitely have the child-bearing hips, and 12C boobs, not so much the toned stomach tho lol - marta x
ReplyDeleteWhen did you have a baby marta? Or are you still pregnant?
DeleteI'm a size 8 of Princess Beatrice, though I think that's more in my head. My hips are just fractionally wider than my shoulers. My thighs are my hate zone. Guess that's pretty normal though :-)
ReplyDeleteThighs are my hate zone too. Damn them.
DeleteI am an elongated hourglass. Since I have turned 30 I have found that an extra kilo or two gained is so much harder to lose and then to maintain. I can certainly see my body changing as I get older.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I'm only 23 but my body definitely changes year by year as I got older.
DeleteI guess my closest body shape would be Kelly Brooks, although I don't look that good! lol
ReplyDeleteThat makes 2 of us ;)
DeleteI have awful chunky legs... I think they are significantly larger than the rest of me. But I've probably severely distorted myself in my head.
ReplyDeleteI like to think my body doesn't resemble any one body and that I'm a unique and beautiful snowflake :) (with chunky legs)
I think a lot of women distort their body in their minds, and if shown 5 pictures of themselves, 4 of which had been altered, they likely would not pick the natural photo!!
DeleteThat's a lovely way of thinking about your body!

DeleteI think so too... You're welcome to steal it

I'm an apple shape... Not on the list.
ReplyDeleteOn a body type website I once read it said that Drew Barrymore was an apple... I just checked out some bikini pics of her. Looks nothing like me or an apple! haha. I am overweight though... And wouldn't be caught dead in a bikini!
This issue must be rectified. Can you name anyone who is an apple? I can't leave apples off the list!
DeleteCatherine Zeta-Jones and Liz Hurley, apparently!! I would never have believed it!
Deletehttp://www.femalefirst.co.uk/lifestyle-fashion/stylecelebs/apple-5821.html
I think sometimes apples are confused with just plain over-weight. haha.
I am an apple for real though... Right through to the core. hahahahaha.
Actually, maybe Drew is an apple shape.
ReplyDeleteWe are waist-less, I repeat waist less!
I never would have believed it either!!! Hmmm yes you could be right on the over weight stakes. "Core" hahahahha.
DeleteAnother Kelly Brook! But I don't think I look as fabulous as her in a bikini lol
ReplyDeleteShe is hot. I gotta give her that!
DeleteOut of those descriptions and pictures, I'm probably long and columnesque. In a nutshell I'm tall and skinny *shrug* it is what it is.
ReplyDeleteIve got a pretty good hourglass shape, but am extremely out of proportion on my thighs... on the inside of my thighs are massive chunks of fat which rub together and make me look horrible in shorts. i envy girls with gaps between their thighs! im working on this at the gym though and am slowly getting there.
ReplyDelete...without wanting to be controversial, I think a lot of women have trouble accurately assessing their body shape. So many people say they are an hourglass, when they're really not, and I think it's probably because an hourglass is seen as being the most desireable figure to have. Body shape is about proportion, and doesn't have a direct correlation to fat/skinny or attractive/unattractive.
ReplyDeleteAs for my body shape - I know what I'm not, but I'm not sure what I am!
I completely agree with you! I personally think each and every one of us have our own unique body shape. Why must we judge ourselves to fit a predetermined body type? And also agree with the perception that the 'hourglass' figure is considered the most desirable by many.
DeleteI agree with you too! Not meaning to sound harsh, but the hourglass is the least common of body shapes but everyones' responses would suggest otherwise... I know I'm not an hourglass and I'm happy with that :)
DeleteMy measurements put me as an hour glass, my hips and bust are the same measurement give or take .05 or 1cm.
DeleteI'm not trying to peg everyone as certain body shapes.
Are you talking natural shape (I'm assuming most of us are) or including foreign objects that have been inserted into the body for a large fee, giving the perception the body is something it's not?
DeleteFrom about age 16 – 21 my bust to hip measurements were 100% spot on, but after my surgery I added about 3cm on top unfortunately, but then as I got fatter I evened out again – hurrah!
DeleteNo need to be bitchy either.
Oh so you're back to your natural shape again now... Right
DeleteUm..... no.
DeleteObviously I will never be my 'natural' shape again, but I am back to the right proportions as I put on more weight.
Thanks for coming back and checking for my reply - every hit counts!
No problem. I'm sorry you changed your body. It's sad. For many many reasons. But hey, who cares about anything but blog hits!
DeleteI'm not sorry and it was the best thing I ever did for my body self confidence.
DeleteIf I'm not sorry, you shouldn't be either and you should just be happy for someone else who feels happier in their skin, even if it is not what God gave them.
If you believe in a god it's even sadder.
DeleteEach to their own.
DeleteEven if they're not you own. Sure.
DeleteBoring Thursday night for you I am guessing!!
DeleteI wish I were a Kelly brooks! I am most like Britney spears when she was fat, but without the boobs :-/
ReplyDeleteI am a broad muscular between cam and aida with a dash of britney /////.I need to drop some Kg's asap.
ReplyDeleteI meant ://///
Deletei'm a cross between Olivia P ( skinny chest/ arms/ no boobs/ small waist) and Drew B ( thighs and don't have a super toned stomach).
ReplyDeleteI'm happy with my body.....most of the time, but certainly not when my stomach is bloated making me look preggers! Everyone has there days.
I'd be a combo of Nicole Ritchie and Kate Hudson :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm closest to Kelly brooks but one of my hips is a teeny bit curvier than the other. Eep!
ReplyDeleteLaurafornerphotography.blogspot.com
HA! Mine too!!! I think one of slightly higher than the other.
DeleteAnother size 6-8 Beatrice, can't get rid of the wide waist and little pot belly!
ReplyDeleteI'm Drew with bigger legs/knees. I have effing wide knees, I wish the fat would wobble up to my chest!
ReplyDeleteThat made me laugh.
DeleteProbably most similiar to Olivia Palermo.
ReplyDeleteI'm just gangly. Long arms, long legs, long torso. It's a bitch to try and buy jumpsuits!! Lol. I have a fairly small waist which manes my hips look bigger. I'm just not in proportion really!
ReplyDeleteHahaha it is probably harder to buy jumpsuits when small and curvy though. It's a disaster!
DeleteOh and I hate my knees too!
ReplyDeleteOh join the club. I frigging hate my knees.
DeleteMore like Palermo than any of the rest. Only I think I have a little more meat on the butt than her and wider shoulders. She is very straight, I think her body type is called a ruler.
ReplyDeleteYou be the judge! I have some pics from the beach in my blog
http://lilyonthewater.livejournal.com/51025.html
xoxo Lily
Thanks for the link Lily, you look smashing in your bikini. Hope that isn't too pervy of me to say haha.
DeleteI am Kelly Brooks
ReplyDeleteIndia
We must have similar body types :)
DeleteColumn. More baggy and saggy than Olivia though, as 34 and have a child. I would have thought more like Cam or Gwyn, but damn they are both muscly! The thing about a column is, you can't put on weight! I have tried, and it looks TERRIBLE. When you have no curves, weight gain is very offputting! You don't all of a sudden turn into Kim K, just a big fat parking lot pillar.
ReplyDeleteAre you tall as well? I think that your body is already amazing as it gave you a child!
DeleteHahahahahha, I am Kirsty Alley all over! Not quite at her largest size! You left her off! I am working hard at rectifying this situation!
ReplyDeleteI'll never be anything like those women in your photos, I don't have the genes and have had 3 kids (which has brought it's own metabolism issues) with that skin that doesn't cope well with stretching! (A cup with stretch marks!)
You will never, ever catch me in a bikini!
Plus I don't have the time or desire to ever work hard at maintaining a model perfect figure. Some of those girls work on their bods while we work at a day job. And get paid a sensational amount of money for couple of
hours work( probably the same amount as normal people go to the Gym!- Its all reversed)
I just found the tag bit, I shall get to it ASAP!! Cheers, j
I had her picture but only the photo of her from the Oprah show which didn't cut the mustard from me@
DeleteYou are right, some of these girls' job is to maintain a near perfect figure.
My bikini body? God knows, ive never worn one. Lol
ReplyDeleteI'm an hourglass. A very overweight hourglass. Im a shortie and unfortunately hold all of my weight in the tummy/thigh area.
Do I love my body? I love that it functions, but unfortunately not how it looks.
I do love that there is more to me than my appearance, and that im a kind and intelligent person. You win some, you lose some, lol.
I think that being able to recognize that you are both kind and intelligent is amazing. So many people are too hard on them selves.
DeleteP.S - Your blog profile cracks me up every time!
I think I am an hourglass - I am short and slim, but not a stick - have curves that I like. Happy with my body.
ReplyDeleteGood! I'm glad I have not had any comments saying they hate their bodies.
DeleteI'm muscular and curvy. I have big boobs but also really toned legs and tummy. I love my body, I just wish I could find a good sports bra that would actually let me run without worrying about my boobs bouncing! xx
ReplyDeleteHave you tried this bra, it is exxy but you will not bounce!!!!

I thought i was an apple..but I don't know! I am small framed with big boobs, smaller hips and backside and my waist isn't defined enough to be an hourglass..what do you call that? Too much good living haha. My body is changing (I'm 24)and I think my hips are becoming more in proportion with my chest now so that's good.
ReplyDeleteHaha 'too much good living' - well that is the best way to live your life, that is for sure!!!
DeleteMy figure is technically an hour glass like Kelly Brook's but my measurements only just fit under that umbrella. I've always wished that my hips and thighs were bigger and rounder. My hips sort of flatten out (rather than being round like Kelly's) from about my navel. I look like an hour glass only until that point. I corset to create a more womanly figure.
ReplyDeleteif only i was able to understand measurements like that haha. but i know the first set of numbers and thats good, middle number is? last one is waist? 36 is pretty small, id say youre close to an hourglass
ReplyDeleteI am technically hourglass. At the moment I feel fat all over but when I am in shape I'd say that my shape is very similar to Drew Barrymore. Actually, it's bang on with Zooey Deschanel...but she's not on the list :)
ReplyDeletei am le piglet
